Jesus, My Friend (a poem)

You speak to and hold me when I am low; you’re  there for me when I have nowhere else to go.

In the deepest darkest night, you are my light; you hold me tight and help me rest, even when I haven’t been my best.

I’m unable to do anything without the stability you bring to me despite my iniquity.

 You are always there, never far; catching my tears, my comforter.

I’m sorry Lord for being irreverent; my behaviour is truly at times so errant.

I thank you for your mercy and grace, your kindness, blessings and warm embrace.

I pray Lord for your continued guidance and to hear your voice clearly, especially when silent;

For your strength and help to be far more, ernest in obeying and following your ways always and all days to gaze in awe;

At your beauty, goodness and consistency as you  walk with and encourage me.

 Lord I want to be more obedient, and for my joy in you to be immediate.

Please show me how to love like you, and be more like you in all I do.

I’m forever grateful for your blessings and the hope you bring. Please accept this poem as a token offering;

Of love and gratitude for all you are and all you do;

For your faithful love, guidance and  leading me to truth.

🙏
